Benefits of the Acai Berry

Anti-aging Properties

The benefit I always mention first is acai's anti-aging properties. Acai berries are absolutely packed with antioxidants, which can help premature aging.

To understand how this works, think about what happens to freshly cut fruit that you leave out on the counter for an hour or two. It browns, right? This process is known as oxidation, because oxygen from the air begins to break down cells in the fruit. This same thing happens in our bodies.
